Limited slip diff.

hey guys i have an 05 vz Cal and only spin one wheel when takin off and such... just wondering if theres anyway i can stop it from doing this and spin both wheels?

Is it an LSD diff? If not you have to put one of those in.

i think it's an LSD do u know if the Calais comes stock with LSD. and if it is LSD should it spin both

stick your head under the rear end and look at the tag on the diff hat, should show if LSD or not & ratio

05 cal didn't come standard with LSD. So most likely it's not. You can pick up standard 3.07/3.08 ratio LSD diffs on eBay pretty cheap. Only thing is its a bit risky buying a second hand diff.

If your tag is for some reason missing (like mine) or you can't read it, jack the rear of the car up and disengage the handbrake. Then spin one of your rear wheels, if the other wheel spins the opposite direction, it's a non-LSD. If it spins the same direction, it's an LSD.

I've got a 05 Calais also and it's not LSD but defiantly my next mod.

My 05 vz calais didn't have a LSD standed so iv got a vz hsv diff put in it with 3.46 diff gears fitted, much better than standed
