I still like Cheap6's idea of toying with the ABS... as he said you don't have to go diving into the wiring of it all, just touching the surface, powering the shut-off solenoids for the rear calipers... but, it's not for me. I'm going the line locker because it can be taken out again and put into another car. This is a definite selling point for me because I'm looking to change cars quite soon.

Vice grips are a no-no for me because with the car club we're hosting regular burnout days, one every couple of months. A few times clamping off the rear hoses and they'd be on their way out for sure.

SO... I bought a B&M launch control solenoid from SSIVE yesterday... How do I get this thing hooked up?

VR sedan with ABS

Anyone have pics of an installed valve to SHUT OFF REARS for burnout comp work?

Otherwise I'll have to find myself a workshop in the area by this weekend, I have a comp on Saturday...

Any help appreciated

take it to a brake place and get them to cut/shut the solniod into the metal lines under the bonnet
then run switch and wire it up so when ya feet off brakes flick switch then when ya press pedal only fronts will go on
i put a very bright red led inline to tell me when its on so ya cant drive off and forget its on

Yeah I figured that's the way but as I'm short on time I was wondering if it was a DIY job with a good brake system flush at the same time....

I'll be calling a shyteload of brake places today to try to squeeze it in somewhere

I know, I tried some diff places :p

Well after a whole day of ringing every damn workshop I could find, nobody will touch it. It's like they're **** scared of the words "line locker".... can't ****ing believe it. Even brake specialists won't do it. I'm going to have to do it myself, I'm confident enough with fittings and the bleeding of the system afterwards, just not sure whether to mount it up near the ABS module or back where the line splits into two near the rear axle..

Where's yours, Stealthy?

Basically right under the B Pillar on the drivers side. Not sure if VR brake lines are in a different spot.
