little light in gear box

this is trivial but im intrigued. in the gear box part, underneath the little black panel with the gears on it. there are 2 lights. one light shines up through the numbers. the other is broken off something. its sort of a little round black thing with a half circle like this ( shaped plastic bit on that. the moon bit is broken. i have no idea where this is meant to be or where it goes. any one know

the little moon clip thingy clips onto the selector. its the one that lights up the tiny little bar that tells you what gear you are in. yes the other one lights up the whole panel.

i think i understand you!! i have same problem i think other half of my clip has broke!! :|

nice blurry pic's by the way!! i think they wreck my vision coz i was looking at them for so long! lol.

yeah they are a bit close and it was getting dark... there is a function on my cam that lets me get closer without the blur but i dont know how to use it!!
