Looking at 2006 vz ss utes, what's the differance ss, thunder, ssz

Hey all looking at 6.0 utes. Just wondering what's the differance with the thunder? Also a guy at works son has a vz 6.0 ssz? Couldn't find any ssz"s on carsales though

A key difference between the SS and SS Thunder is that the Thunder had the L98 engine (270kW) and the SS had the L76 (260kW). The first Thunders were released in March 2006 and had 18-inch alloy wheels, colour-coded leather seats and a hard tonneau cover. But the Thunders were released again in October 2006 with 18-inch Monaro CV8-R alloys, red painted brake calipers and a 'twin aero form' tonneau cover.

Correct, the SSZ's came out in late 2005 so still had the 5.7-litre LS1; the 6.0-litre V8s were 2006 and beyond.

If I was you I'd go the SS Thunder. My brother used to have one in Devil Yellow, it was a beast.
