looking for a decent engine builder plz help

well the time has come and im looking for a reputable mechanic/ engine builder that can either rebuild my motor or source me an already built one not looking for anything spectacular just something thats gunna last and is gunna give me a decent platform that i can do mods to over time. the cheapest one i have come across is 4gs for a full rebuilt motor and i almost had a heart attack lol thinking of calling up Fisher Performance seeing wat they can do he said he could do it cheaper when he came thru where i work (perks of bieng a bottleshop attendant lol) has anyone had any experience dealing with them good or bad i want to hear it. PLZ help
