Has anybody done anything to either change them back to red or make them less visible as after the reflectors have faded to clear theyre extremely displeasing and look a little tacky. I was thinking of dyeing them amber to match the indicator lights. Has anybody done this? Would the reflector snap if i tried to pry it out to replace it then glue another one back in?

I've used the tail light lens dye. Not really sure if that sort of thing will help you though. It needs to be applied from behind, and not ontop of the lens/reflector, but it works VERY well.

Rear facing reflectors/lights must be red.
Only the rear indicators/hazards are allowed to be amber under the ADRs.

I used spray on lens dye from SuperCheap although I'm not sure they carry it any more. There are also dyes for painting over glass. You could also get some red reflective tape and stick it over the reflector.

I suppose if the reflectors are that faded, the taillights are probably a bit worse for wear and should probably be replaced anyway?
