check it out, got my new car today, VP stationwagon for $500
ive been looking for another wagon, because the vn has dints on the drivers side on the doors and rear quarter, its been in 2 front end accidents that i know of (one my own fault, damn trees jumping out on me ) so i thought it time for a straight car before i do anything with it bodywise.
dad found this thing sitting alone beside a dealership in leongatha while doing a delivery.
it was knee high in grass and looking rather sad.
they offered us 800 depending on what the gearbox was like, they think its slipping.
luckily, they couldnt find the keys for 2 weeks, and gave up, $500 all ours, just come break into it and take it away.
its all legit too for those that are skeptical, i'll be trying to get a new key from holden soon and doing a revs check to be doubly sure.
it started first go with a new battery, got it on the trailer and took it home. we were lucky enough for the steering lock not to be on, so were able to steer it and didnt have to grind of the ignition.
its got 380,000 odd ks on the clock, but the motor looks like its been serviced regularly and id say will still be going strong when i swap it for a worked motor which ill eventually get done
ok, specs time
1992 VP wagon (needs service)
3.8ltr v6
factory(i assume) central locking ncluding tailgate(lucky, coz got no key for it either)
4spd auto which looks like it will just need a service
all straight panels mins front left guard, rear bar and tailgate
electric mirrors
electric antenna
slotted front rotors
seats are good
needs new tyres (read 18" mags)
needs new carpet
rooflining needs reglueing
so, all in all im pretty happy with it, great score for what its got
keep an eye on this page, as everything gets swapped over from LOWAGZ v1.0 and it gets a new lick of paint and some other goodies.
