Uh oh, looks like I was doing the wrong thing! I assumed black with red stripe was what you were talking about on the pcm loom. I think I'm totally confused. It was quite hard to locate pins on that loom.

What's that loom on the left picture? I'm guessing the right picture is the DLC connector?

The left pic above is the engine harness but the plug that joins the engine harness to the dash wiring.

A3 is on the smaller of the 3 pcm plugs.

note the A on the top left and right with the numbers on each section.

Just tested the CORRECT wire. There's good news and bad news. Good news is the circuit is complete, bad news is the circuit is complete. I was hoping there was a problem with that wire. My only assumption now is that my pcm is being a snob!

I've got an aldl cable, I'd be able to tell if my o2 sensors were buggered. Except I've never been able to get it working on my vs. Either before or after gas conversion. In don't know what's wrong with the connector. I've tried it on another Mates vs. Works flawlessly and on my mums vx. Won't work on mine. If I bridge pins 5 and 6 I get the standard code 12. I'd kill to get my aldl working. That's another thing I need to get working that way I can see what's happening to my car.

Mines exactly the same. Maybe it's just a statesman thing?
What series is your vs?

So there's 12v between pins 5 and 16. When I plug my aldl cable into the pc, the light turns red on thr cable. So. Maybe it gets power from pc.?

I've got a series one stato. June 96

Also just to add. Today I did nearly 300 km. My gauge has 5 green leds one yellow and one red. I'm on 287 with one green and yellow on. I think I'm at about the 50L mark at the moment. That's granny driving and all highway. So I'm not impressed at all! I'd love to be able to log my driving so I can see how it behaves
