Port size or outlets for the cats???

1 5/8 pacie tri -y
4-1's depending on brand will usually be 1 3/4" unless ask or pay more for 1 7/8

Exhaust ports will not be 3", more likely 2".

2" is new. originally I was told LS1 241 exhaust port are 2.5" and then recently 3".

Didn't think it was possible to have a 3" exhaust port. That would mean 3" primary extractors...

Stock, aren't the exhaust ports 1.5" x 1.25"

Using a hypotenuse calculator I got 1.95" for the hypotenuse

I think its worth knowing and considering as part of the choice of replacement extractors or indeed if I change at all.

Basically comes down to 2-3 categories:

tri-y for ground clearance issues or the d.i.y sucker at home performing all work on the car at home.

1 3/4 4 into 1's for those willing to put up with clearance issues & heat all for the better sound & top end...mild cam & head 5.7/6.0

1 7/8 for those that just want crazier sound & top end power,clearance/heat issues even though more suited to 6.2 or strokers,f/induction.
