Ls1 manifold question

Hi all im uploading a picture on here i just wanna know what the part is called its theres purple circle and a black circle i wanna know what the part is that the black circle is around and what it does as mine is broken thanks.

I used to think it was the fuel pressure regulator but it is in fact the fuel pulsation damper.

Ok thanks and just to clarify that is the black thing that a plug plugs into with the black plastic hose that runs near where the throttle body bolts onto not the thing on the fuel rail that’s circled purple ?

No, I was referring to thing circled in blue, I didn't notice the thing circled in black, that is the purge solenoid.
