Ls1 whine from intake manifold

pumps do whine when playing up

I took the belt off and the noise was gone, I'll start by replacing the power steer pump. thank you all so much

I would be tempted to eliminate idler pulleys, power steer pump, water pump. With the belt off can you grab and move the water pump pulley up and down or when you spin all of the above, do any of them feel rough ?

OP hasnt been here for nearly 3 years. Have you followed the diagnostic strategies given in this thread? Belt off, run pulleys by hand?
