Thinking about getting a LSD for my 07 VE SV6 SEDAN.

about $1100 fitted. cbf fitting it myself.

Has anyone else heard that Ford LSDs have been known to be better then Holden LSDs? Can you put the Ford LSD in a holden anyway!?

also i thought a LSD was standard in a 07 SV6?

or only option?

I think it is standard in the new SIDI SV6s? am i right?

anyone else got a LSD in their holden and how does it go?

Harrop or Eaton true-trac (if you can get them for VE's). That will be your best option, look into this okay.

I highly doubt Ford LSD's are better then Holden's. I know 3 seperate people with BA/BF Ford's and they've had only problems with there drivelines, especially their diffs. Very clunky and loud, with problems. Stick to the above suggestions or kaaz diffs.

The clunkiness in Ford diffs isnt actually the diff... It's the fact the diff mounting bush always breaks allowing its support rod to clunk around..

Nothing wrong with the diff.

That could possibly be, but my mate with a N/A BA XR6 had his LSD rebuilt due to it being very slack and loud. Know of a few other blokes who have done the same. Could just be my circle of mates or could be the wider ford community. Just my two cents!

Its possible.. A lot of guys blame the diff but failure to replace the bush (which isn't a cheap or quick job) will cause severe play/movement of the diff.. Leave that unchecked for too long and it'll #### the diff eventually.

They aren't the first owners of their cars so it could well be the bushes which has eventually lead them to bigger problems!

True-Trac's don't have cones that wear out, so they don't need maintenance. Plus they are usually cheaper to get than to have a Holden diff rebuilt, all around it's a better option.

Get an LSD from an SS and it'll be the best mod you'll do.
