I want to get some wider alloys.

I like the team dynamics 1.2 (i'm a fan of motorsport style alloys) but I think the offset on the 18x9 is a bit too low for the rear?

Any recommendations?

if these are the rims your talking about

prorace12.jpg

which comes in 19x9 e15/20/30.

if you go with 19x9 +30 (assuming the 18's from the SS are close to ssv rims specs in offset +48) these rims will be very similar.

there will be a difference of 1.8mm ( new rims will be inside the guards by about 2mm)

I thought that it would mean there would be a difference of 9mm from the offset and + 12.5mm from the extra width?

So the 19x9 ET30 would stick out another 21.5mm?

Or are the standard clubsport alloys 18x9?

Some horrible cheap things that came with the car, I can't see any sizing.

you will need to take the rim off and should be stamped inside.

With new rims I would not be putting an 18 inch wheel on the car. 19 or 20 will look much better.

If you go to the UK web sites of Performance Alloys and Wheel Heaven you can get a list of Team Dynamics wheels that will suit your car. Just look up fitments for the Vauxhall VXR8. Most wheels that fit you can get in 18 and 19 and some in 20.

The pro race 1.3 are supposed to fit.

Have a look at the Jade R on the RED Commodore in the gallery on this page (its the Vauxhall VX R8 badged Commodore - HSV). They sure look racy on this car.
