mates vy ss no rear breaking problem

Hay guys I had a mate who just texted me a ny help would be good? 2003 vy commodore V8. Drove to work this morning all fine, when I drove home I have little to no rear brakes? Did have a rego inspection yesterday, the mech says he didnt adjust anything. ideas?

The mech must have forgot to remove the vice grips he had on the rear brake lines after painting the road with your mates tyres :driving: :p. but seriously as above.

Haha n yea it's a manual so would of been fun to leave a few black marks on pavement

Remember that the front brakes do about 65% of the braking and you know what they say about assumptions, but assuming you are indeed correct:

jack the back of the car up, put jack stands under it so both wheels are off the ground.
get someone to press the brake pedal real hard as with the engine off you wont have cac assist
see if you can rotate either of the rear wheels.
If you can, then there is an issue.
I would first bleed the entire system if the pads still have plenty of pad material, if that doesnt work then remove the rear calipres and clean thoroughly with meth, replace the seals with new ones, relace the dust boots if they have holes in them.
Alternatively, take it to a brake specialist.
