Solid choice, regardless of the emissions scandles etc that VW have been through lately have always heard great things about the GTI golfs!

Some more pics.

Car was suffering from a terrible surge under boost. Whipped out a plug and they were less than poor. Apparently done 20,000km ago...also were gapped incorrectly (1.15mm when spec is 0.80) and were the wrong heat range.

Just to add to the question marks about the last mechanics ability to touch cars, timing belt was replaced 3,000km before i purchased car.

One snapped bolt and one a different head. These are a single use bolt. Oh, and the car was serviced by a "European Specialist" who,when i called him to quiz him about it reckons it's been "too long" and somebody might have snapped it when they did "tyres or something"

So picked up a GFB pulley, which comes with new nuts. Removes 1.4kg of rotational mass off the crankshaft. Because mang.

Not sure why i'd need an aerial longer than Mortons, not planning on picking up radio from Uranus. So replaced it with a shorter "Carbon Fibre" one. For that racecar look.

And sundays are carwash day in the Sabbath household. Tonner doesnt get a wash, cause paint's ####ed anyway.
