Not exactly real metal but there isn't a post-hardcore punk thread. I was thinking about putting it in the punk thread but it's heavier than that

The Sabbath were amazing, but the drumer "Tommy Clufetos" was in a class of his own. His 20 minute solo was a sight (and sound) to behold. Hellva night out!

Black Sabbath were awesome, waited so long to see them and they didn't disappoint.

People are bitching about Bill Ward not being there, but face it, Clufetos has given the band a much needed kick. Bill is 65 or something and no chance he can smack the drums like he used to. Be interesting to see how Brad Wilk sounds on the new album.

Favourite videos of Sabbath with Bill Ward:

Went to Cradle of Filth last night at The Hifi in Brisbane's West End, The Amenta supported with another band who's name I can't remember, but they won a competition to support Cradle. Both supports were awesome, though the guitar could have been turned down a tad, those high noted pierced my brain haha. Cradle put on an awesome show as expected, great mix of their old and new stuff, and they finished with Her Ghost In The Fog, one of my faves. Danni's voice was flawless live, if not even better, still can't believe his vocal range with low growls and high pitched screams!

Sucks getting home at 1am and then getting up at 6 for work, bloody ears are still ringing. Ah well, was a great night, alcohol & pizza in the line before we went in made it extra juicy haha

Not strictly 'metal' but Stone Sours latest House of Bones double album is some of the best music to come along in a while.

Really looking forward to going and seeing Deftones this week.

New Megadeth album is a bit of a let down, Not as good as I was hoping. Still some good songs on it though.

Evile released a new album last week, SKULL. I've been thrashing it quite a bit the last few days, Well worth it.
