ok guys got my first v8(finally gave in to the"ditch the six get an 8")
its a 1995 vr ss prettty much stock as a rock..is a 5 speed manual though.. lol ive only had it for 5 days and its already pulled to bits all ready for the new cam to go in...and ive spent alll day porting the heads( long process that is).. so yea future mods, well i dont know yet..maybe some ideas if anyone wants to help out? stay tuned but got some good things happening for interior fairly soon and the paint work as well :beer chug:

so going to prep and spray rocker covers today..going matte black.something different.. and could anyone recomend some good diff gears ?

and also ordered crow cam stage 3 kit today (4503 cam) will upload some pics of car today

so does anyone reckon it would be better to have 3:45 , 3:7 , or 3:9 diff gears with a cam thats peak performance is 3000 rpm to 6500? wgat diff gears will wake it up a lil without loosing to much top end

3.9's all the way.

Your motor will run out of puff around 5500. Did u shave the heads at all to bump up the comp.

yep i ported them and now there in gettin acid dipped and 20 thou taken iff them at the moment.and have u got 3:9s ir had them? and if so was it it failry good in the torque department

Get 30thou taken off. More the better.

I had 3.9 with my 5 speed. Was killer. And didnt rev its guts on the freeway. Was around 2500.

Now with the 3 speed it's 3600 lol

ok guys got heads back this arve.wow only took them a few hours..acid dipped ,chemically cleaned and 20 thou taken off(ported and polished them myself) heres some pictures
