So I was warned and I didn't believe them... I was told once I got a few power modifications, I wouldn't be able to stop and it seems to be true.

Had my VF1 SSVR (Auto) recently modded with a Full exhaust, OTR cooling, Tune & transition tune.

Just wanting to know what if any other power & in particular low end Torque increasing options there may be?

Turbo Or Supercharger are probably financially out of the question, and I will probably look at a small(ish) cam in a few months.

Just wondering if there are any other options out there I should be considering?

Mainly looking for a bit of a low end boost as most of the power the car generates seems to be at the top end where it really is very rarely usable.

Cant really affect drive-ability too much as it is a daily driver.

If anyone has any tips that'd be great.

Change the diff gears to something with a higher ration like 3.7 or 3.9.

Yep diff gears.....

My VF1 doesn't seem to make decent power until 3500ish rpm.

I'll suggest something different.... How bout some diff gears!

But seriously, that would be the best bang for your buck mod to do next. Especially when you add a mid sized cam.

Thanks for the replies guys, it seems Diff Gears are the go...

It seems from my limited research that 3.7's might be the go for an Auto...?

Just a couple quick more questions if anyone has some experience in this area.

1) Does anyone know the approximate cost on getting a job like this done.

2) Would this put a lot of extra strain on the car - Will changing it be wearing anything out?

3) would the car nee to be re-tuned again afterwards? Would it affect the speedo at all?

Not sure on cost with a VF, I got a set of gears in my old car for about 1200 installed from memory

It won't put extra strain on car, but you will use more fuel.

Tune won't be affected, but yes speedo will need to be recalibrated (if same as my old car)
