I can't see how this differs to a stock version except for the "ss" badge. Can anyone see how it differs?

It has the bottom of the front cut out, if you know what I mean. So it's just as easy to cut out your own, instead of buying that.
It would be useless really since the radiator shroud would pretty much block the part that is cut out.

the radiator shroud doesn't block it out,you can see the air con condenser thats bout it, the out side air doesn't even flow up to it, just some bloke tryin to make money of stupid ppeople that don't know its a standard intake with 5 buck ss badages

Yes you are right, I didn't realize the shroud has a little cut out as well.

I would have thought it would be sucking hot air from the radiator. But if you say it is smoother who am I to argue.
I can't believe people would pay over $120 for the one on ebay, when cutting you own costs nothing. Must be the SS sticker.

I cut the bottom out of mine so it looks like the one on e bay and it did make a difference. Gave it a bit more power but not a lot.

lol maybe hes charging a mint for his time to chop the bottom out :) I did this to mine some time ago and fuel economy went up ever so slightly with no variation in driving conditions.

But yeah I pity anyone that would be dumb enough to actually buy one

The bottom tube feeding into the airbox is un-touched,rendering the modification useless. What a gullible human being.

Well it started at $36 so it really was a case of peoples stupidity that drove it so high.
