:b: can anyone out there tell me if they know whether vented bonnetts on monaro will fit vy ss commodore or any vy

They do...but....they require some modifications as I understand it, they are too long in the nose of the bonnet and require some "shaving" and shaping to fit. The mounts and so on are ok though.

I was going to do this but I cant be fussed with all that! There was a pic in Street commodores I think that showed a guy with a VYII Crewman SS with this done and all the Chev badging etc....

There is a place that sells cold air inductions that actually sells these bonnets. I thought it was LS1.com or SS inductions but not real sure.
The are around $2000 from memory.
I will find the link and send it on.

As far as I know the front edge of a VY and Vx are very different so bonnet wont fit although there are after market bonnets available.

I just bought a fibrglass VZ Moanro bonnet to fit VY (because some scumbag backed his ute over the bonnet of my car). Was alot cheaper than CAPA.

Bonnet arrived today, have to paint in the will update you on the fit.

U can but the VZ monaro bonnets that fit VY's from ebay, there has been a few on lately

you can buy the aftermarket bonnet to suit vy for 650 on ebay

I think the mod for a genuine one to fit vy it actually the back part of the guards and the plennum grille.
I know this cause i tried :/
