Monro bonnet scoop grill

Hey all,

Went and looked at a pretty tough vz ss yesterday. One thing i noticed is it has the monaro bonnet with the 2 scoops side by side. But there was no grill or anything inside each scoop so effectively it went straight into the engine bay. Are there supposed to be grills or something to stop leaves etc entering the engine bay?

yeah mate it should have a grille in there otherwise your engine bay is going to fill with crap pretty quickly, should look something like the ones in these links

You thinking of buying it? Yeah there should be mesh there, but no biggie. Just buy some mesh from supercheap, looks like crimsafe, doesn't cost much. You can just make your own. That's all my bonnet has.

Wow im rather dyslexic today. Put this in the VY section instead of VZ and i spelt monaro wrong!!.

Fairly sure im going to buy the car. Just getting a pre purchase inspection done first to make sure i didnt miss anything with my amateur mechanical skills..

Its an absolute monster!

Thanks for the advice again.. i was not paying $200 for each tiny little grill from the stealership
