OK, this is kind of what I had been thinking myself.

And the standard leads are the way to go? I hear all of these people going on about MSD and Top Gun leads... No advantages? The standard leads are not a whole lot cheaper than the supposed brand names.

And plugs? No advantages to getting NGK or iridium?

Only advantages are a lighter hip pocket.

Factory AC Delco leads come in red too, which is where the extra kW come from anyway...

Unless you are moving your coils off the rocker covers and require longer leads (much longer) then the stockers will do just fine and if they need replacing then if you can get MSD or what ever cheaper then buy them otherwise just buy new stockers.
Because the stockers are so short and don't really touch or lie on anything the chances of earthing (missfiring) are very minimal, unlike the earlier V6 and V8's that had leads of all different lengths touching the engine all over the place.
