The Subaru EJ22 and the EJ25 were noturious for blowing head gaskets. Subaru never put on a recall for it due to cost issue. Instead they released a product that was to be put in the radiator at each flushing. They are an excellent motor once the head gasket is replaced....I love my EJ25.

i wonder what a shift kitted subi would go like.. i mean if a commo can get chirps in second with a stage two the subie should fly

drove an outback once, if the transmission had more pickup i'd buy one, fitted in it perfectly, seats were awesome, steering and brakes felt great, suspension was good, just no power to the 4 paws.
