It just seemed strange that the depression for it is there.

Holden probably uses the same part for both RHD and LHD builds with the only difference being they don’t fit a handle next to the drivers head

I don't think VE wagons had black roof linings to get the pillar, rear window and tail gate trims.

my VE SSv and E3 were not black, grey as pictured
