Love the look of your Maloo mate. Very tough. Had a silver E1 Maloo trying to pick a fight with me yesterday. A very loud whine emanating from under the bonnet.
At the next set of lights, he'd made sure he got beside me and sat there sounding all grumpy, with an occasional rev. The lights turned and I took off at my normal sedate pace. He struggled to launch. So I was at least 3 car lenghts ahead, at normal pace, say 35kmh when I hear this howl coming. He took it to about 4k in 1st, pulled 2nd, probs a half throttle jab and flew past me doin about 80. Nearly blew me off the map. .

Few typos in there, haha. Yeah it is.
Just to be clear, I did not take the bait. I was driving normally, like other traffic. I don't condone street racing at all. But, had I have tromped it, I would have been way ahead of him. A very quick Maloo, no doubt. But, he struggled to get it off the line. Probably didn't want it to errupt in smoke! It was seriously cranky, sounded like a solid cam, and the blower sounded more like an old school 8/71.
It demonstrates just how good a job, HSV have done on the GTS and W1.
