Couldnt agree more. People rely far too much on objects that can fail at any time. Keep a safe distance and there will NEVER be a problem.

thats fine in theory, then some knob moves in to the safe breaking distance between you and the car in front, most of the time in wet conditions

hey guy's and galls,

just for future referance, if you are going to put up photos of cars, can you make sure the rego plates arnt noticable, blank out a few words, or if your not sure, blank out all the number plate, last thing we need is someone getting the shits and going to town on us.

hey garth, just curious... but how can anyone get in trouble? not having a go, just interested in what the technicalities are.

number plates are for public display- in person or online makes no difference. number plates arent personal particulars, that's why people arent forced to put their names and addresses on the back of their cars- for privacy. and knobs that do the wrong thing dont have a legal grounding to dictate who takes a picture of their car.

some people choose to hide their number plate when posting pictures of their car and that's fine. typically they are listing on the mods done on their car and they dont want someone trying to spot it and then take it! but dumb road users need to be highlighted (even if only by number plate), so other road users can be aware of them. in the interests of safety, how can that be a bad thing.

I got a person who i will name and shame

On Monday 22nd of February Morning time about 8:30 - 9:00

My girlfriend and i where going to work when all of a sudden a ute sped up to us in the left lane to find a car parked so he decided to force his way into the right lane and continuing to bend the left side mirror off and almost pushing us into on coming traffic forcing my girlfriend to stop and let him in. His driver side door was inline with my girlfriends car bonnet when he decided to force his way in.

My girlfriend decided to take a picture of his vehicle just incase any damage was done.
The ute driver decides to stop his car, leave his it and walk straight up to my girlfriends window and scream at her "why the **** are you taking pictures of my car".
So i decide that if a grown guy wants to talk to my girlfriend like that then he will have to talk to me about about so i get out of the car and as i do i notice his lip tremble and then i asked him "what the F**K are you doing, get the F**K back in your car" pointing in his face and towards his car and as i escort him back to his vehicle he gets a little nerve to ask why my girlfriend was taking a picture

Here is a picture of his vehicle and him leaving it
and if this ass hole uses this site you should consider yourself lucky because if it was any other person i believe they would have been quite happy to beat the living **** out of you.

here's there website Aluminium Windows Aluminium Doors Installation Services Joinery Home Renovation Window Locks Door Locks All Areas of Sydney from Abbey Aluminium

^^ business ute! did you by chance call them up and ask for their street address? i'd rock down there with a print out of the picture you got and ask to speak to the owner. state that he got out of his car and abused your girlfriend while obviously at work/representing work. At the very least- you got damn good proof or road rage! Phone number of business and positive ID of driver. Isn't it 3 points and few hundred dollars ?!?

my name and shame is this idiot in the silver monaro in woden (canberra)....View attachment 79240

I parked next to free spot, then came back to see this arse park so close to me I had to get in through the passenger side. Waited around for a bit, but no show. A shame really. Idiot.

Hahaha its people like this that park so close to you, then come on forums like JC & complain someone has dinged their door.

As you see him moving into the lane back off and create a safe breaking distance between you and the guy that just moved into the lane. if your paying attention you dont need to see an indicator you will see him moving across.

Late to the thread i know, 2 things.

You wont be able to see my brake lights when i'm stationary (only the driving lights).

The second, make a complaint to the police, thats the bloody idea for the number. 131 444 (pretty sure its aus wide)

Whats really funny about this thread is that Commodores have a well known fault for blowing brake lights themselves.
You could well be driving around with just one, or no brake lights yourself.

How many people actually know if they have a brake light out anyway?
Its not like you can really check yourself and you do just assume they work.
Have you bothered to tell her that her brake lights dont work?
Probably not.

I check daily. Reflections are awesome (although, its pretty easy to see there not working, its dark when i leave for work ;)). So no, 'I' Couldn't be driving around with one, all my lights always work (had the left headlight out and a week later the right, both not working for less than an hour)

Keeping in mind its a legal requirement that all systems of your car are checked before you drive it.....
