another good look is a solid redgum bench top.
put a 2 part epoxy resin on top (clear) for protection.
and it brings out one of the best looking reds, and the edges of a yellow/brown colour you will see.
you dont even have to cut the rough edges off for a nice appeal.
family have done this and it looks amazing.
along with other mantching items of furniture to go with it.
remember. start by building something to your own skills, then afterwards you can always add/modify.
and it also depends on what you want aswell.
did you want a high wall uni to display all of your good and wares.
or did you want a functional space with beer taps and kegs, and just a nice outdoor bar type setting.
all i can say is plan it out.
measure twice cut once.
and youll have something of an amazing type and style
also to add.
intriquite details can make a major bit of difference.
for example, handmade dovetails (or dovetails in general) will always look better then butt joins or similar.
if making it out of timber i highly suggest these materials due to their grains and compounds inside.
Redgum
Mountain (Vic/Alpine) Ash. or any other Ash
Tassie Oak
Merbau
