I had that sub hooked up to a 4ch amp, I don't rate it. JB hifi have a 375wrms kicker sub & 100w amp package for $230. The amp isn't really powerful enough for the sub but it'll still kill that crappy pioneer unit.

i got 2 of them pioneers sittin in my shed, i use one to pick up screws/wire offcuts off the floor, thats how well i rate em lol

Yeah never mind about that last post. just go with a sealed enclosure then. SPL is for people who try to shake their car with the bass basically lol and when doing SPL they normally use ported enclosures to get that deep bass... sealed enclosure is good for accurate clean bass.

Ill leave the pros to give you advice...
