I did my vx keys last year...
Welcome to Just Commodores, a site specifically designed for all people who share the same passion as yourself.
Thanks for the reply. That takes my question two ways. If anyone buys an OEM key now, unless the batteries have a long shelf life, they will have a very limited life (assuming made 20-odd years ago). Or were they still being made more recently?)Also depends how long the keys have been sitting on the stand/shelf for,
If they are OEM Key Heads, Probably 10 years.
Cheap After Market Chinese Crap take offs, probably after the Warranty finish's I am guessing,
I had to program in a pair of OEM replacements for a customer that were aftermarkets that were 3 years old.
LOL, I have replaced the battery in my remote twice now and not a stitch, not even a small nick.until recently holden would still have had manufacturers making common spare parts
i wouldn't think they made a spare million remotes in 2005 and are slowly using them up
those people that try to fit batteries to oem remotes, reminds me of the guy who slipped with the stanley knife trying to open his oem remote
from memory 10 stitches across his palm and just avoided tendon damage
