Picked up this beauty the other week.83 VH SL basically one owner (original owner passed away earlier this year and someone else drove it for a few months). It has 248xxx k's,manual, dealer fitted real louvre & air con, factory mudflaps & wheel trims, still has original radio that works a treat. All vinyl interior, drivers seat has wear but all others are good.It needed a new clutch so I have pulled the motor and box out so I can repaint the engine bay. Also I will paint the motor/box and everything else before refitting. It will look all original with nothing changed also with new stickers etc.Once it's back on the road I will respray the car in its original colour (mink). The only panel damage is the LHR door and LHF guard and corner of the stone tray.I have all of the books from when the car was sold and when the local Holden Dealer fitted the air conditioning.I will post more pics as it comes together (I have heart failure so sometimes I cant do any work for a while, and when I do feel ok I have plenty to catch up on)
UPDATE-2.8L 4 speed manual Bought locally from Burchfield Bros. & Co on 16th September 1983. Air-conditioning fitted by Burchfields on the 26th November 1985. It has 248,000 kilometers on the clock. Rear louvre possibly fitted also by Burchfields when car was new (top of rear seat is like new) I still have the factory mudflaps in excellent condition. I have re-gasketed the motor (not that it was needed as it was extremely clean inside and only had a leaking rocker cover gasket) New clutch, plugs, leads, cap, rotor button, hoses, clamps, oil & all filters etc. Engine bay was painted then motor and box put back in. It has been resprayed in the original colour 1G058-B which is MINK. Underneath has been sprayed with underbody coating. Runs and drives like a dream,it's a real treat to drive and get's lots of looks. All books that come with the car are still in the glovebox in the Burchfields folder, the book for the car,the AM push button radio which works a treat and the air-conditioner. I still have the original 14" steelies with the chrome dress rings. It has NSW rego until september 15th 2014. It really is a nice tidy early girl which are getting rare in such good condition. $5000ono
