No electrics work, car won't start.

Got a problem with my car, the car won't start, stereo or anything that needs the key on to turn on doesnt work. Dash doesnt light up or anything.
Head lights still work, indicators don't.
So everything that needs the key on doesnt work.
Checked and replaced all fuses.
What could be the problem?

my body control module blew up, "supposedly".. it controls all of the electronics, had the same problem, only thing is, my key wasn't switching the immoboliser off or locking the doors, that's all that happened to me. if you go to Holden like I did, they will most probbably 100% rip you off, but I had no choice, it cost me $450 dollars.

not sure on the VR's though....

if holden lied to me, then I don't know what could your problem, replaced key battery?

My key battery is nearly dead, which could be causing problems. But wouldnt something at least still turn on?

replace the battery, and then see what happens....

Check the battery voltage, just to make sure thats sitting at what it should be. Ummm. Try another key if you have a second one. Make sure you checked all fuses, including the ones under the bonnet. Swap relays is always another thing to try. Were you recently doing any work where you pulled any electrics apart. Make sure you havent knocked any connectors loose on the BCM or anything like that.

My vs done this once the other day.....no interior light no cranking nothing at all except for the speed alert light trying, and i mean trying to light up. I turned her over couple days later and she started. I reckon BCM, but dunno. she has also been showing the abs off light up whilst stalling and surgeing whilst driving. This time i didnt even get to leave the driveway and she spluttered etc, headlights flared, abs dash ligh came up, then went off, came up. thats when i turned it off, tried again and she was DEAD. NOTHING. No crank no lights radio etc

I think you can override the immobiliser by putting key in ignition, turning ON, wait 45 mins and IGN will come on and then you can start car - this overrides the keyhead bit. Certainly sounds like the remote battery is stuffed.
