OBD2 elm327 problem

Hey guys long time viewer first time posting

A quick question and hope I'm posting in the right section I brought a cheap Chinese OBD2 from eBay and the first time I used it it worked then disconnected and won't connect back to the ecu.

I know it's probably just due to being a cheap Chinese version but every time I plug it back in and connect to it's wifi signal is fine then try connecting to the ecu but keeps failing now not sure why since the first time it worked fine.

Anyway any help will be much appreciated also ordered a Foxwell NT624 elite so I have something decent.

I brought an elm327 once that was garbage wifi kept disconnecting sometimes didn’t pick up wifi obd2 at all so I blew up n got a refund
There’s a lot of Chinese garbage being sold online cheap half just don’t work properly
