Hi All

You need to explain a bit more , not starting and not cranking over are 2 different things, but both dies mean the car is hard to start or will not fire up .

My VT SS 304 has the same problem, pretty much, dead cold start even sitting for a week or 2 turn the key and t cranks and fast idles asap

now when warm switch off

in the next 5 mins it will be fine , turn the key and it will start

but leave it for say 15 to 60 mins that is when the problem occurs

Basically turn the key , the security / VAT light does go out , and you crank the car, then starter does work and turns the engine, however the car seems to just cranks and almost fire up , then it stalls , now wait 5 second , start it again, the car starts and idles very low , say 300-400 , then it pauses and the revs come up to whatever is normal 500/600 in park , from there it is fine

It just seems to start and idle very low, i will try and sort of give it a bit of throttle see if it does anything

Just add in you reply if the car vat turns off , and the engine actually cranks over , but refuses to fire up

regards
george
