Old Jaycar response 1000wrms vs new Jaycar response 1000wrms

I was talking to a guy who has both for sale, a old model used one and a new unused one.

He is selling them for the same price, when I asked why the old used one was the same price as a new one he said "one is made in China and one is not"

Is there any reason I should think about getting the old one rather than the new one? Apparently the newer one has better heat sinking, thats about all I know.

you've got the model numbers around the wrong way

but they're all made it china, everything is...

newer amp has a 24db/octave slope on the low pass filter, while the old is only 12db/octave.

The difference is... the older one cost a fair bit more when new... doesn't make it a better amp though..

Oh the models are the wrong way around? The guy has them written that way so I copied it.

So you would go with the new one for the same price?

For a brand new 1000w rms amp with 12 months warranty you wouldnt pay $260, or are you talking about the used one?
They are $300 at Jaycar, and out of stock there.

Yes the same price for both, I'm just going by the website cos its too far to drive to Jaycar from here.
