Look that info up on Redbook....
You'll find all the weights & fuel consumption figures on there

As for VE diff ratio's, I'm not 100% sure of their specific ratios....Someone else will know what's exactly what with them
I looked in Red book and even gumtree specs but the numbers are all over the place. 2.92. 308,3.45
If the series 2 sedans use the 2.92 and it appears the utes may use 3.45 a drop down to the 2.92 should gain a good reduction of rpm on the flat. Yes I would need to change back from 6 to 5 on some hill but that's what an overdrive gear needs anyway. Maybe even in the VZ it maybe the same and if the VZ is lighter than the VE then that would help some more too.

what sort of ute is yours?
Manual , auto4/5/6
V6?
Sedan, 5 speed auto, 3.6L V6 (alloytec/LY7 3.6L too). Even manual shouldn't knock up the fuel usage too high unless you like sitting at 3000rpm.

2.92 = VE/VF auto
3.45 = VE/VF manual
3.08 = VN-VZ V6, VN-VT1 V8

That’s what I found too and hope it’s correct.
And hope to find people that have fitted the 2.92 into the manual and what it did to fuel consumption
And if it was fitted to the Vz manual as well.

You can get under your car and have a look, there's a sticker on the bottom of the diff that tells you what it is. Really doubt anybody with a manual would have put a taller diff in though.
