Radio stations pay for the rights to broadcast the music, this is paid for through advertising.

People have really come up with some silly posts in this thread.

So in that theory, since I've paid for all the blu rays and dvd's in my cabinet, I can burn all these movies and give you guys a copy of them all since I paid for the movie, which means the companies etc have got their share of the sale?

You can legally copy them from one form of media to another and store it for personal use by yourself. To sell or otherwise distribute them will get you in strife.

In many cases the videos on YouTube are illegal and the copyright holder will have them taken down. Some artists allow YouTube to have there's and they say official video. It is illegal for you to them download it (not that they can trace it)
