My VY runs both fans during AC.

And off memory i always remember 2 spinning aswell, ill do a bit of testing today and post back and see what i come up with, what voltage should the fans be getting, anyone know?

-- Yep defs only one spinning with A/C on, in the fuse box the high/low relays are differnt, both are still 12V on them but should they both be grey? One of mine is white :S?

^^ I think that might be unrelated if youre talking about Aircon Air, but anyway, i get High And Low Fan speeds which indicates the relays must be fine, like haveing the car hot pulling up at home today i turned it off but had the key to on and the x1 fan was spinning at Low RPM then i started it again and the fan went into high speed so theyre fine, i guess its either connections / fan motor now! who would i take the car to if i cant fix something like this? Auto elec? or more so a cooling specialist?

Nothings wrong with ya car mate thats normal operation haha

1st fan will kick in at around 103/104 degrees 2nd will coming after 110-112 degrees

If your car warms up to 105 degrees and the fan cuts in and drops the temp back down to mid 90's or so then nothings wrong

and lol at people checking power at the fans.... most components are negatively switched on or off on your car, so you will have the 12v there regardless :p

It will only turn the 2 on when it needs it, so say if your @ 90 degrees water temp, air con on... both fans will not operate... think of it as maths equation the ecu calculates engine load, water temp, if or it not a/c is on, and more then likely other contributing factors to calculate if the fans need be on or not so the ecu can keep the motor where it wants it to be (temp wise)

I guess so, But is one fan on when a water temp is like 10c this morning for example and it still turns one fan on with the AC? - Or is my ECU up the creek LOL.
