I was talking to my main parts bloke a few days ago and he was saying that Brake parts are getting hard for retailers to get unless you are part of the conglomerate, Repco, Bursons and other chains that charge massive mark ups and all owned by some big parts Co... He used to be able to get MC's and stacks of other brake parts and sell them at a really good price for the consumer. However he now needs to go through the Big Multinational if he wants such parts and of course he can't sell them for anything less than the franchises can, because they won't wholesale to him.
I suspect this is why Sparesbox can not get me one, and neither can Car Parts Plus in Lonsdale who I reckon would have be well under $200 for an MC.

It's winging its way to you as I type.

and yes it seems that many of these smaller Automotive outlets just do not have access to PBR Genuine Parts as seems the case with that brake place on North East Road with the huge "PBR sign" that wants to charge an arm and a leg to do a rebore and sleeve job claiming it will be better than original as I was told on Friday.
