Overheated super 6

Hi all just wondering if anyone could help the bottom radiator hose split last night I stopped straight away as it was smoking waited a while replaced hose and topped water up again now it's shaking on idle but once I'm moving it's fine but the temp gauge is getting up to about half now. When I start it it seems as if doesn't want to but it does I was thinking maybe lack of spark but not sure why it would happen at the same time it over heated. Any help would be appreciated as I'm on holiday and got a 2 hour drive home tomorrow thanks

did you bleed the air out???? they can get air locks and overheat still

No I'm not sure how I started the car while putting the water in and kept topping it up until it stopped going down if that helped

those 3 little copper/gold screws around-
there is 1 in thremostat housing up under throttle,
1 on the steel water pipe above the spark plugs on drivers side
and 1's sorta under the supercharger snout

ya have to fill it all up..... put cap on....
start it till ya get some pressure in the hose's..
then unscrew the gold screws a couple of turns till all the air comes out the little holes and is just water coming out and no air..(do em 1 at a time)
let it cool down and fill it up again
do it all again
then go to supercheap and buy a 'gregory's car manual'.. tells ya everything + how to do that ^^^ 100% correctly

sweet.
that wont fix the rough running thou... its just something ya ment to do to save damaging it...

ya could have another issue that caused the hose to blow in the first place (head/gasket) or it could have stuffed up after causing it to run rough now... or could be something completely unrelated causing it to run rough.....

The rough running could be caused by coolant which would have gone 'everywhere' when the hose burst may have wet and damaged either the DFI module or one of the coils that sit on the module.
