At least he was warned to stockpile head gaskets on the first page of the thread, lol.

Well it was the original gasket still there because it had fomoco stamps on the gasket I reckon that being 26 years old plus the 8 years idle plus when I really over heated it just combined to blow up the gasket, all of bore faces were ready to go it was just cylinder one which went first

But had the idea of cold welding the gap in the block, would that work well?

its been said before, if you really want to keep the car just get a long block and stick it in better chance of having less problems and a fairly simple job to do

Ok guys I found the source of my mystery water leak behind my block, the gasket had caught in a locating dowel and folded double against the block so I am up for another head gasket and head bolts

Ok guys I am having to put the falcon on the back burner, due to money right now is rather tight so can't exactly shower my car with $$$ so everyone can still put up their opinions and tips but I won't be posting up updates very often but hopefully around the end of the year I can really do a heap of work to her, but make no fear for I will still haunt the forums and give a bit of advice for anything about a 3.9

Okay guys I have made a final decision on the car, I will be selling it for parts or whole or to a wrecker, it is a bit sad but I am getting another car so this one has to go
