Sorry to bump an old thread but just saw that engine cover paintwork and it's absolutely awesome!!

I had mine painted by a panel beater. Done properly in Heron White. I tried doing it myself in white from SCA and it just didnt work. Some will know I have painted things in my car before and have had good results. Not this time. White was so difficult and the colour was miles off Heron.

Covers are one of the things I think need to be done professionally as its a large area to cover in one nice coat.

do it the right way, paint it in 2k from a spray gun, end of story
