Perkins Unveil first VE Supercar

I saw the GRM VE this afternoon. Thing looks tough.


Even though it had no wheels on and was jacked up, the whole stance was set just right.

Cant wait to see them racing

i was under the impression that they have been refined more than just 'VE body on a VZ'

surely theres more to it.

The new generation Commodores have been built in-house by Perkins Engineering and are the result of an 18 month collaboration between Holden, its factory supported teams and TEGA. Over 3,000 man-hours were put in by Perkins Engineering staff building the first of the two cars.

Wheel base has been shortened to that of the VT-VX-VY-VZ. So between A & C pillars, it is all old stuff. Have a look at a side on profile of the two and you'll see what I mean.

its a shame they had to bring it into spec with the smaller ford wich is a shame this serris is going to be like nascars soon wich is going to suck big time bring back the development serries i say race on sunday drive on monday.
