If you do a search on camber kits, the VT-VX has problems with excessive negative camber on the rear, the kits do help straighten the rear wheels up running more postive camber which helps but there not 100%, the VE seemed to fixed the problem with factory adjustments camber and toe I mean, series 2 VX only has toe.

Thanks for the info, mate. I'm aware of the camber issues, although the VX SS wheels that I originally had on the car didn't seem to have a problem with camber wear. I'm starting to believe there was something unusual going on with the worn tyre, whether it be the tyre wasn't fitted correctly or had a defect, or something to do with the way the old owner of the wheels drove on it..

I had another look at the wheel this afternoon, and it looks as if the wheel has worn very unusually.

On this side of the tyre it's all worn acceptably and still above the wear indicators

Spin the tyre 180 degrees and it looks like this. It's got me stumped.

On a brighter note, my custom number plates arrived today

And I went and bought some exhaust tips today, too. I just need to find the time to tack them on. I'll post up some pictures once they're on the car.

Nothing beats a shiny black car.

Based on pics, would say tyre had a defect.
Maybe i missed it earlier, what brand?

Tyres being old are known to delaminate so perhaps that's what happened there

Look virtually useless anyway, in regards to tread
Just monitor your new wheels and tyres.

Should be fine.

That's what it seems like to me, too. The tyre is a Hifly; cheap & nasty I believe.

That's a good point, I'm actually not sure on the age of the tyre.

Either way, I'm going to get a couple of new tyres tomorrow hopefully and go from there.

I just went and checked the tyre and it has '1513' written on it.. so early April 2013, which really isn't that old. Although, after reading through that link I'd be leaning towards the tyre not being balanced correctly.

Since my last post I've done a few small things to the car. I purchased some LED globes for the fog lights and parkers which are now fitted. I've also fitted a 6000k high/low HID kit, which makes an awesome difference, although one of the globes stopped working after an hour of use, so I have a replacement globe on the way..

Fitted up some chrome tips, too

I gave the car it's 3 monthly detail today, which consists of washing, polishing & waxing. I polished with an electric buffer for a change and it's brought the car up very nice. I couldn't get a picture that shows how well it came up, so I took a video...

nice car mate! 3 months away from my fulls :D

Cheers, mate. Got a car lined up for when you go onto your opens or?

My replacement HID globe never came in the mail, so I'm guessing the bloke I bought the kit off never actually sent one out.. Although, I got curious yesterday and tried the problematic globe again to see if it would work and strangely enough it did after sitting around for a few weeks. My experience with HID's so far suggests that they seem like a fairly temperamental setup to run, but effective none the less, and they look good (when they actually work)!

Another pic with the LED/HID globes

I was having a quick browse under the bonnet yesterday, and I came across a pretty close call. I'm just glad I spotted it then and not when I was 3 hours away from home.

Recently I hadn't been too happy with the way the SS was sitting with the stock FE2 suspension, the front was okay but it needed more low at the rear end.. so last night I swapped the rear FE2's with these..

And wow, made a bigger difference than what I was expecting. Sits a bit lower than I thought it would, too.. but looks sweet. It's quite difficult to get a good picture of the car, it just looks so much better in person, but anyhow here's some pics.. (car is filthy)
