Pinky/ Red substance around hoses?

Coolant is meant to be anti corrosive which is why they use inside your engine instead of water.

I had the same problem guys. I had to replace the top and bottom hoses and as soon as I did my AC worked again. I had it on cold but it blew hot air into cabin. It still worked on hot though. Cost me about $60 to have both hoses fitted.

I've got the same on my radiator hoses on the Alloytec. Kind of makes me wonder about the quality of the original hoses - but then again they have lasted nearly 160000 k's so who's complaining.

Coolant leaks at heater hoses are common, first try fitting worm drive clamps instead of the crimp style and if it still leaks fit new hoses.

The black plastic sections are quick release connectors.
