Yeah they where just my spare rims I had to take some pics with, didn't want to take photos with the interceptors it now has as it degrades the car abit lol
But yeah as soon as I sell my other car I'll be looking into either vy sigs or ve gts 20's

I tried a set of hbd j series on it powder coated black but 18's aren't big enough for vn's I feel you need to go big or stay stock.


Question: does anyone have a corvette servo In their th700?
As i would like to know if your car too slams/thumps into gear but only in foward gears and it only happens when your in say reverse/park/ neutral.

Little update tommorow I'll be getting my exhaust leak sorted out and will be taking the car out to Calder to see if it can crack a 14 I'll be over the moon if it does.
Time will tell I'll update how I go on Saturday

So finally got out off my a$$ to race it, was happy with how it went but in saying that theres more in it..
first pass just soft launching to see if everything would hold up ran 15.608 at 87MPH
then ran 2 low 15.5's to finish the night off with a 15.503 at 88.47MPH

i didnt quite stall it up on that run either maybe like 1100 but next meeting im going to take it out again, going to go this time with 98 bp fuel and go on a 1/4 tank, too see the difference also going to stall it up and see how we go.

But in all honesty for what i spent i wouldnt suggest the mods for anyone apart from diff gears and LSD because really if i spent the same amount on a 5l i would have been 14's without doubt but i choose to stay v6 and not cop any bothers from the police being on my p plates which get picked on everywhere you go.

next on the list im going to do is order a converter from dominator and hopefully all that low end power im losing out of the hole should pick up abit off the line and get a better et. Then try my mates 4.11 diff out and last if i cant crack 14's ill go e85 and get some injectors and pump up the fuel pressure and get a race tune, though that will be last case scenario
Im going to keep going till i get that 14.99999

Updating some info.....
cars been out of action for a few months getting some paint and bits and pieces put in and on.

Had the exhaust re done, got some wheels and best of all its now back on the road. =)

Well took the car out too calder again.

FINALLY BROKE INTO THE 14's =)
I was soo excited i lost my voice after the first run =)

The car has been dyno'd at CK Automotive and with the dyno sheet i have sent it off to Jason (Greenfoam) who tuned the memcal accordingly.

Picked up another 10kw+ which i was over the moon with.

Ended up running 14.866 first run with another 5 runs between 14.866-14.899

Nice mate, Foam does good tunes for the ol 3.8l. Did i see right that it got 95rwkw? usually get that stock or 100rwkw for a good stock one, exhaust and Cold air intake with tune should get you 110rwkw, mine made around 120-125 with 2.5 exhaust tune and a baby wade cam. have you ditched the aircon and done some weight Restriction? foamy can lead you on the right track with it all.

Cam and headwork should net you around 135-145rwkw. The car looks nice and getting some good times out of it, you should get a Gtech and then you can find out your 0-60s and so on. what other mods are you looking at now? are you gonna keep her N/A.

I usually dont like VN/VP models but yours is just awesome! Colour tops it off i think :)

Thanks mate, jason is a gun tuner cant complain picked up 4 tenths with his tune so im over the moon.

Nah bud that was full street trim bar the spare wheel.

Dont really wanna ditch the aircon as its good to cruise around in summer :p haha its my daily so i want all the goodies.

Though if you got any other ideas where weight can be taken out id be happy to hear your ideas.

Well its showing around 183 hp on the calculator so 135kw. the dyno was never a reading for me just a guide to see how much i am picking up between changes.
my car doesnt hook up to be able to do those unless im at the track lol maybe i need to invest in some good 235's or somesort.

Im going to focus on my other car for the time being as i just wanted to get into the 14's with this before i moved on,
once my other car is on the road this will be getting the turbos fitted to it 2 baby snails =)

Though engine will be built accordingly to suite some decent power,

so for the time being the car is complete and will be staying N/A.
