as the poll suggests rate the effectivness of your local police and if possible why and what they could do to better themselves.

I rate mine as not too bad as if you have a non emergerncy call out they will often not show up at all.

EDIT: if the cops that are on here would kindly do so, rate your station and also say would u guys could do better.

wow I really think this poll is needlessly critical... other than police themselves who might vote, I think nobody else has the right to judge!

My brother in law is a copper and he turns up very promptly at the mention of food and alcohol.

I haven't had any dealings with our local police, but recently had a car stolen and we had to deal with a lovely constable from a different station, I have no complaints as yet. I also don't see the point in this thread, and the minute it turns into a cop bashing thread it will be deleted :)

Every situation is different. I fail to see how we can judge the effectiveness based on individual opinions and experiences. As per above. I agree, this thread may not see the light of day for very long.

i have not had much to do with the police here in geelong but on the few occasions that i have had to call them they have been here within 10 minutes witch is not bad concidering the station is about a 7 minute drive. i think this thread isnt going to prove anything as there will be members that have a grudge against the local police i look at it this way they are there to protect us and make there town or suburb a better safer place to live and if you break the law you are asking to be caught just my 2 cents
cheers Brenden
