"Press remote" dash light

With the sun shining on the dash at a certain angle, there is a "Press remote" place, (I think it's next to the airbag light) It's never litten up, but just wondering what it's for.

The Press light light is a function of the calais. It is a part of the engine immobiliser system. If you try to start the car with out disabling the immobiliser it will flash and an audible warning will sound. Also if you open the door after the car has been unlocked for more than 3 minutes it will also flash.

on my dash, beside the airbag light, theres an ON light.......that i've never seen light up.

any ideas what its for??

Thats for the cruise conrrol....the on light.
The press remote light is a throw back from the vp's

it may not but the light cluster is a standard thing in the model you have so you may not have cruise control but the light is there anyway and will not iluminate so you dont have to worry about it.
