It is recommended on the Kicker Website that the Dual L7 Sub-woofers should be powered by a Kicker ZX2500.1 Amplifier... Here's what I do not understand as I'm new to the "technical terms" Of car audio

L7 15" Sub-woofer is Rated at 2000/1000 Peak/RMS respectively

the ZX2500.1 is a Class D mono-block 2500 RMS amp at 2 Ohms

Now I'm no mathematician but the subs are 1000+1000 RMS = 2000 RMS.. the amp is 2500 RMS.. (Also all kicker amps are under rated so its more like 2701 RMS.)

Now here is my Question.. Wouldn't it blow the sub-woofers running off that amp?

No. This is called 'headroom'. You can not have an amplifier that is too powerful, you will just have a lot of headroom. Provided the gains are set accordingly, everything will be fine. You could potentially run a 150wrms sub on a 1500wrms amp and its fine. I used run 250wrms through my front splits with almost zero gain, and its fine.
When you have headroom, the amplifier does not have to work as hard to power the speakers / subs. So its a good thing :)

Also Kicker don't have a 2000wrms amp, so they went the next size up. Did you think they would recommend a competitors amp :p

Read the post again he said Kicker don't have one so they suggest the one closest that they have which is 2500W

So I should be right with the 2500 rms on the 2 15" L7's?

Will be fine mate. Always good to have a bit of head room. Can't think of any thing else that would suit that would be lower priced. You could contact the audio seller Joe Bellisimo before you commit though? He's a site sponsor I believe and might give you some options.

I want a full kicker system... If I waited like 2 monthes I could get 6 18" Solo X subs with 2 Kicker warhorse amps, But that might be a bit much

Oh well in that case sure it will work fine and you know you won't even be stressing the amp :)
