Question about welding lsd diff.

Strange I thought if you were fitting 3.45s that pinion and ring needs to go in as a matched set? E.g. 308 pinion won't fit 3.45 crown wheel, or will it?

It won't. Yes you need to keep as a matched set.
But we were discussing removing Crown wheel, swapping centres and reinstalling that same crown wheel.

Ok I misunderstood. I thought the OP was needing shorter gears because he couldn't hold it.

Ok I misunderstood. I thought the OP was needing shorter gears because he couldn't hold it.
He was, and has a complete diff with lsd centre ready to go in. But advice is to swap the centre from his current diff into this one before fitting it.
