Does the car have to already have one of those blaupunkt screens in it for you to be able to transplant an IQ system in or can it be the stock as a rock cd player such as that in an SV6.

If so what exactly is required wiring wise for the conversion. Thanks

You will need to fit a modified HVAC controller which will fool the IQ unit in to thinking you have Dual Zone Climate control fitted.
(Pretty much the same as if you were fitting the Series I Colour LCD screen).

The wiring is different. (The plugs are the same, but most of the wiring pin outs are completely different), so either you will need to spend a day re-pinning the wiring connector, or source a patch harness from Ultimate Conversion Wiring (Which sits in between your series 1 car wiring, and the IQ unit, and makes the wiring plug and play).

You will also need to program your cars VIN to the IQ unit (And while you are there, you may as well have all the fun stuff enabled as well).

Hope this helps ?
